Best Tactical Flashlights

This is a List of  My Current Favorite Tactical Flashlights by Category…

#1 – Best Value – $17.99

PeakPlus Super Bright LED Tactical Flashlight

I chose this light because of it’s reasonable price and overall usability.

Now don’t get me wrong…

…this is not the next Surefire or Streamlight, but it does seem to be better built than a lot of other generic lights you will find on Amazon. I have had this for a couple of months now just to see how it holds up in comparison to my other lights.

Results…

It has held up reasonably well and quite a bit better than I expected. Its aluminum body has held up well and the lens has not cracked after dropped multiple times on every surface I could find. I have been using the generic 18650 lithium ion rechargeable battery that came with it and it seems to work fine, it can also be used with 3-AAA batteries. While I would not recommend this flashlight in a life or death situation, or bug out kit, it is a great light to have around the house.

#2 – Best Weapon Mounted Light

SureFire M Series Scout Light

The reason this topped my Weapon Mounted List is its all around reliability. My opinion may be slightly skewed because I have more experience with this particular light than most others. The SureFire Scout was the light of choice for our Troop while deployed to Iraq. Most of my troop used this light on out M4’s and M500 shotguns.

Reliability…

I used a single SureFire Scout for our entire 12 month Deployment. Same light, same bulb, same lens. I have drug it through sand, dirt, mud, water. It has been thrown in multiple vehicles and banged against everything under the f$@%#^ sun. I have now had this light for 7 years and never changed anything except the batteries.

#3 – Best Pistol Mounted Light

Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL

Is this the best Pistol Mounted Light ever???…

…Maybe? Probably? I honestly have no idea…

What I do know is that this is my personal favorite by far. Why is that you ask??

Price – $109.99

While this might seem like a lot to some people, it is very much worth the price. Most of the other lights I would consider to be their direct competition typically range from the $200-$300 price range.

All You Need –

With 1.75 hours at 800 lumens, light weight, ambidextrous controls, and Strobe Mode, this light is truly all you could ever need. If you really want a laser/light combo and are willing to pay the extra $165, they have the Streamlight 69261 TLR-2. But in my opinion, the TLR-1 is all you will ever need.

#4 – Best Everyday Carry Light

SureFire Titan Plus Ultra-Compact

I love this light!!!!

This is my personal choice if you are looking for an EDC carry light that is reliable and small (3.4 inches and 2.0 ounces).

Great for any Situation

It easily fits in your pocket and has a very durable pocket clip. I personally carry it in my backpack or on my belt just because I personally don’t like things in my pockets, but even clipping it to a thicker belt or my molle on my bag, the clip has held up perfectly fine.

It is a bit pricey, but in the long run, it is better to pay the money upfront and have a reliable light that can go anywhere and will last you for years to come.

Until Next Time…
